The Final Destination is a 2009 horror/thriller film directed by David R. Ellis and written by Eric Bress.
Plot:
10 years after the Flight 180 curse, 9 years after the Route 23 curse, and 6 years after the Devil's Flight curse, Nick O'Bannon (Bobby Campo) is watching a race at Section 180 in McKinley Speedway with his girlfriend Lori Milligan (Shantel VanSanten) and their friends Janet Cunningham (Haley Webb) and Hunt Wynorski (Nick Zano). While watching the race, Nick has a premonition of spectators and racers dying in gruesome ways. As he wakes up from this, he warns his friends, starting a fight between him and Hunt. Security guard George Lanter (Mykelti Williamson) sends the two outside, together with Lori, Janet, mechanic Andy Kewzer (Andrew Fiscella), Andy's girlfriend Nadia Monroy (Stephanie Honore), Ku Klux Klan member Carter Daniels (Justin Welborn), and Carter's wife Cynthia Daniels (Lara Grice). However, Carter tells Cynthia to stay inside. Mother Samantha Lane (Krista Allen) follows his husband Edward Lane (Phil Austin) and sons Daniel and Ryan Lane (William and Brendan Lane, respectively) outside. As Nick's premonition becomes a grisly reality, Nadia is decapitated by a flying tire. Carter goes inside for Cynthia, only to be interrupted by George. Inside, Cynthia is possibly sliced in half by an exploding car's hood.
At a cafe, Nick, Lori, Janet, and Hunt sees a news report about a memorial held for the accident. At the memorial, George tries to befriend them, only to be accused by Carter for "killing his wife". At Nick's house, Nick has another premonition about a cross and a hook. Later on at George's house, Carter suddenly arrives with his tow truck. As he gets a cross and shovel from the back of his tow truck, the chained hook of the truck falls to the ground. A can of gasoline falls and spills some of it in the chains of the hook. While Carter is setting up the cross in George's lawn, a hanged horseshoe inside his truck falls, landing on the pedal, causing the tow truck to move by itself. Carter notices this, and the doors lock. He runs to the back of his tow truck, only to get his pants caught on the hook. The tow truck starts to drag Carter across the street. The chain's friction to the street causes a spark, setting the chain and Carter on fire. George looks outside his house and sees the tow truck explode, with Carter's head landing near his feet.
At Nick's house, Nick has another premonition of a ceiling fan, a stone, and an eye. Meanwhile, Samantha stops at a hair salon. Daniel and Ryan start throwing stones to a stop sign after betting each other. Daniel's sharp stone falls near a lawn mower while Ryan's stone hits the sign. At the hair salon, Samantha prepares to get her hair done just as her chair suddenly lowers. An employee arrives and puts a broom beside the hair products shelf. The broom knocks a bottle of shampoo, which in turn knocks some body butter on the floor. Samantha asks for some water. After drinking, she puts the water on the counter. The condensation of the water causes some of it to drip near a bottle of hairspray. The hairspray slides between two hot plates of a hair straightener. The hairspray starts to heat. Suddenly, Daniel and Ryan arrives, slipping on the body butter. Samantha is startled to see them on the ground, just as the hairspray bursts to a loose ceiling fan because of too much heat compressure. The ceiling fan falls, almost shredding Samantha. A few minutes later, Samantha leaves to get something from her car. However, the land mower, now being used, runs over Daniel's stone, causing it to propel through the air. The stone impales Samantha through her right eye.
The next day, Nick informs Lori, Janet, and Hunt about Samantha's death. While discussing his conclusion about everyone who escaped dying, Janet freaks out and leaves, followed by Hunt, who doesn't believe them. That night, Nick and Lori arrive at the site of McKinley Speedway. George finds them, and takes them to the surveillance office of the speedway. He shows them some footage of the accident while they were outside. Nick remembers that Andy is next. Nick has another premonition of a canister and a reel. The following day, Nick, Lori, and George arrive at Andy's garage. Lori avoids being incinerated by flames from a motorcycle's exhaust pipe, accidentally activating a switch of an angled platform, causing it to almost drop. As Andy, Nick, Lori, and George go outside to talk, another mechanic leaves a can filled with tobacco spit on a table. The force of the mechanics shakes the table, spilling some tobacco on wires of a reel which holds Andy's car, which in turn is wrapped by the angled platform. Meanwhile, Andy locks them out by a steel grate fence. While he and George talk about their experiences of losing someone they beloved, the reel releases it's cable and the angled platform breaks, sending the car backwards to Andy. The cables of the reel stops before crushing Andy. Andy says to them that he will not die that day, and goes to his garage. Suddenly, the weight of the car releases the reel, and hits the lock of a CO2 canister. The canister flies to Andy, sending him to the steel grate fence, crushing his torso and dicing it into several pieces.

At a nearby bench, Nick tells Lori and George that Janet and Hunt died at the same time. While driving to Hunt, Nick has another premonition of a coin, wires, a windshield, and a pipe. At a resort, Hunt is having sex with a girl. As he goes outside, a kid fires water to Hunt with his watergun. Hunt deflates his raft and steals the watergun. He finds his phone all wet, not realizing Nick sent him a message. He squeezes the gun behind a fence. The gun falls on the switch of the pool's drain, activating it. Meanwhile, Janet leaves a laundromat store and gives a homeless man some coins. The man throws the coin, which is followed by several birds. One bird dirts Janet's windshield, and Janet activates her windshield washer. While driving, her sunroof automatically opens by itself, and she tries to close. It suddenly closes as Janet's SUv enters an automatic carwash. She doesn't notice a sign saying to lower all antennas. While the windshield is watered, spinning mitters accidentally bend the antenna, snapping it from the SUV and sending it flying to the conveyor's wires. The wires short-circuit, and Janet's SUV stalls. Her sunroof automatically opens by itself again, while a pipe bursts water from it. Her SUV is now being filled with water. She tries to break her window to escape, but is unsuccessful. Meanwhile, Hunt is flipping his lucky coin while drinking. A golfer nearby hits Hunt's drink with his golf ball, snapping Hunt's coin from his hand. The coin rolls into the pool, and is sucked by the drain. Hunt dives into the pool, only to not notice the drain underneath him. His buttocks are pulled down, covering the drain. As the drain's suction increases, Hunt tries to stand up. Nick suddenly arrives and looks for Hunt. In the carwash, Janet tries to open her sunroof, and successfully fits her head. The sunroof closes again, and her neck is now trapped. Meanwhile, the water in her SUV is overflowing. As she gets nearer to a set of mitters spinning out of control, George's SUV enters the carwash through the exit, and pushes Janet's SUV backwards. Lori gets out of George's SUV to help Janet. She pushes the sunroof bacwards using her foot, and pulls Janet just in time before another pipe almost crushes Janet's head. At the pool, the suction pressure meter is now steaming because of the covered drain. Maximum suction pressure of the drain caused Hunt to break his bone, getting his organs pulled by the drain. The enclosure of the suction pressure explode, sending Hunt's blood and organs everywhere.
Outside the carwash, George exclaims he's ready to die. At Nick's house, Nick and Lori are covering wedges for safety. Lori is confused why George is ready to die, just as both of them see "signs". This make Nick think that maybe they don't have to die. At George's house, Nick and Lori arrive to see George hanging himself by a rope. The rope eventually snaps. At his sofa, he confesses to them that he's been trying to kill himself all day. Nick and Lori realize that they cheated death once again, and they and George celebrate. Some days later, Nick is packing his things to go to Amsterdam, Netherlands with Lori. Meanwhile, Lori and Janet are going to see a movie at a mall. At his house, Nick accidentally knocks a remote down, turning on the television. A news report states that a McKinley Speedway survivor named Jonathan Grove (Jackson Walker) is currently confined in a hospital. Nick has another premonition of an ambulance, a faucet, the caduceus, and blood. Nick drives to the hospital to meet George there. At a certain room, a patient is about to be given a bath. The nurse leaves the faucet open after going to another room. The bathtub is overflowing with water. Below the room is Jonathan's room, who is dripped with water from the floor above him. He tries to call the nurse through phone service, but the telephone is dripped with water, short-circuiting it. He quickly removes his respirator and crawls out of his bed. Ceiling tiles fall one by one near Jonathan, who is striving to the corner of the room. As Nick and George arrives at his room, the floor of the room above him collapses, sending the bathtub to Jonathan, crushing him.
Nick and George leaves the hospital. While crossing the street, George wonders how Nick knows of what will happen. George is gruesomely hit by an ambulance. He quickly rushes to the mall where Lori and Janet are, and has another premonition of a fire, screws, conveyor belts, and a theater explosion. While Janet and Lori watch the film, Lori is beginning to see "signs". Behind the film screen, constuction workers at another room prepare to leave. One worker leaves his sunglasses on a table, which reflects sunlight toward a pile of sawdust. Wind blows some tarp into an electric fan, turning it on. The fan topples a table with some substances towards combustible barrels. One barrel topples another barrel, which leaks some of its substance onto the sawdust, starting a flame. At the movie theatre, Nick arrives and convinces Lori and Janet to leave. Janet stays behind. At the passage way of the exit from the theather, Nick and Lori rush as the barrels ignite, killing all the viewers. Nick and Lori returns inside to see Janet coughing blood because of some huge nails piercing through her face and a large piece of the film screen slicing her abdomen. Nick and Lori head to the escalator just as the top floor collapses. Some of its debris lands on the escalator, breaking half of its steps. Nick and Lori trips, with Lori's legs getting close to the escaltor's spinning conveyor belts. Lori's lower leg gets caught in the belts, and starts to crush it. Lori starts to cough blood, and loses her grab on Nick's hand. The belts shreds her whole body and crushes it into pieces, splattering blood onto Nick's face. Nick realizes it is just a premonition and that he and George are still crossing the street. Nick is too late to warn George who is rammed by the ambulance. He rushes to the mall and into the room behind the film screen. He grabs a fire extinguisher and puts out the fire. While the extinguisher runs out, hot sawdusts floats over to a pile of wood, erupting into flames. At the movie theater, Lori feels something is wrong. At the construction area, Nick rushes to the table. Meanwhile, a nailgun falls from the shelf, firing nails to Nick's arm, pinning him against the wall. More substances on the table fall next to the fire, leaking more combustible barrels. Nick manages to grab a long wooden board, and waves it against the sprinkler just as the substances lead to the barrels, igniting it. The sprinklers finally work, and puts out the fire.
Two weeks later, Nick heads to the cafe they hanged out at the first time to celebrate with Lori and Janet. Nick notices a loose leg of a scaffold at a construction site near the cafe, and tells a carpenter to fix it. At the cafe, Nick sees them and sits down. While talking with Lori and Janet, Nick sees several signs around him, and realizes everything were red herrings that Death will use to manipulate them. As he warns Lori and Janet, the scaffold falls onto the road. A truck avoids it, swerving towards the cafe. It crashes through the window and crushes Janet with its tires. Lori turns her head away from the truck too much, breaking her neck. The truck smashes Nick to the cafe wall, shattering his jaw and breaking his bones. The credits roll.

MCKINLEY SPEEDWAY: According to the premonition in the film, Nick sits on a slightly broken bench with Lori, Janet, and Hunt, breaking it more. At a pit stop, the gasman fills a black racecar with motor oil. Suddenly, wind flutters around and knocks the motor oil, spilling it all over the pit lane. The black racecar skids over it, but gains control. Later on, Nick, Lori, Hunt, and Janet have a conversation. At another pit stop, a green racecar is being fixed by its pit crew. A tire changer inserts a screwdriver on its rear compartment to fix its tires. The jackman suddenly yells go, making the green racecar leave with the srewdriver still on it. While the green racecar finishes another lane, the screwdriver dettaches from the compartment, rolling towards the tracks. The black racecar drives over it, bursting one of its left tires. Spectators stand due to amazement and shock. The black racecar rolls continuously at the track, releasing one of its tires. The tire flies to Nadia, decapitating her. Shocked, everyone runs to the exits, creating a commotion. Samantha sees her family outside and follows them, only to trip at the stairs. Spectators panic, not noticing Samantha beneath them. The black racecar flies to the stands, exploding it. As more explosions occur, onlookers step on Nick's bench abruptly, entirely breaking it, with one of its wood protruding upwards. Carter and Cynthia decide to leave. An orange racecar collides with other racecars, creating an explosion. Its hood flies to Carter and Cynthia, slicing them in half. Meanwhile, Samantha coughs up blood, but is still alive. The engine of the orange racecar flies to her torso, crushing her. On the other hand, Andy mourns for Nadia's death. Seeing what is happening, he decides to leave. While running, he slips on Nick's broken bench, impaling his mouth to the protruding wood. At the exits, Hunt and Janet get seperated from Nick and Lori, while Nick and Lori gets help from George. While trying to find another exit, Hunt and Janet are crushed by debris from the second floor. Jonathan continues to trip while near the exit, only to see the burning green racecar flying to him, crushing him to the posts. As exits begin to empty, rushing spectators are crushed by the remaining debris from the second floor. More explosions occur near the stands, burning Lori and George instantly. Nick is thrown backwards by the explosions, imapling his chest to a protruding metal rod.
